Any homoeopath of integrity and commitment to his profession would never use steroids, as the homoeopathic science is very rich in remedies with a vast range of curative effects.

If one has been on long-term cortisone, one would show some side effects like 'moon face', excessive body hair, osteoporosis, diabetes, etc.

Using steroids would in fact be counter-productive as they have a suppressive effect. In fact those who are on steroid treatment are advised to taper off the steroids so that our medicine can act on them. steroids suppresses the immune system and the aim of homoeopathic treatment is to strengthen the immune system. In a way we can say that homoeopathy and steroids are antagonists.

Note:-Many times when you are on homoeopathic treatment, you may develop skin problems like boils ,ringworms ,eczema or may be your old complaints start coming back, especially those which are suppressed with other form of medications and ointments.Please don't Take any other treatment for the same and /or discontinue taking your current Homoeopathic treatment thinking,"instead of solving my current problems it is giving me back my old ones". Because this is an indication of removal of disease from its roots, which in fact gives an Internal Sense of Well-Being to the patient and it also indicates that we are on the right direction of the cure. So in a way it is a very good sign in homoeopathy so just don't worry about that and inform us about the same.
